Chus has issued a proclamation as follows:"On learning of the earthquake in Italy, I hastened lo telegraph to the Italian Consulat Hongkong to express my sympathise and to inquire about the sumber of liver lost. In reply, I have bear informed by the Consul, that the figures of casualties are estimated to be no less than one hundred thousand, which is unusually severe disaster.
