The Department of Sericulture though com- paratively young in years, is making steady pro gress, and H.R. H. Prince Pechai is manifesting much interest in the fostering and promotion" of the industry. It has been found that the mulberry tree thrives well in various districts of Siam, but the breeding and rearing of the silk worm, is a work that will require mech time before it can be brought to perfection.
