FOR THE YEAR ENDING 19TH
FEBRUARY 1958, 199
To the Chairman, Directors, and Shareholders of the Raub Australian Gold Minning Company, Limited. Gentlemen, 1 herewith bag to submit my Annual Report on your mining, milling and Cyanide operations for the year ending 29th Febræaty, 1908.
During the year 72,587 tona bave been crush ed, or 1,385 tons more than during the previous year: 13,844,077 vzn of bullico have been won an increase of 3,51965 z over last year. This has been brought about by additional crushing machinery at Koman, and the im- proved grade of ore raised from Stope" mine." The cyatide works have bo contributed to the returns.

25,100 tons Of the total, 880 tons have been discarded as waste-equal to 3. 39 pré cent, of the ore mined. Besides the 35,100 logs, some 652 tons have been won from surface, and 196 tons from Raub old battery site-making a total of 26,048 tons.
"Stope! Mine-At the moment, this is the most important mine on your concession, and our utmost attention has been given to pushing on with its development.
་
It is unfortunate that the main shaft proves now to be over small and in the wrong position, but this could not have been foreseen until con- siderable work had been done underground Being inadequate, it has not been sunk during the year.
..
It will be seen from the foregoing that dare-in / lopments in this mina have not warranted the expanse of sinking either shaft. The bunchas, though exceedingly useful, are too uncertale- and irregular.
Had the shoot below the No♬a laval cont tinued in depth, as we hoped, even though it was short, would have given greater ancourage. ment.
We are now relying on the shoot worked │from the croncut east of No. 2 level, alio on

Bukit Koman.-The lode worked in this mine has beeg of about the same value and width as that worked on during the last two or three years. It is quite as bunchy in charac. ler, and the bunches met with in the lower levels-though not so large and frequent as in. the 140 ft. level - have been exceedingly useful. The main shaft has been sunk from the 440 t. level and timbered throughout.
It is intended to sink to the 16ɔ ft. level be före opening out a station.
This new work is estimted to cost $26,000 in reaching the zoo, ft. level, in addition to $10,000 for machinery, or a total of $36,boo..
The adiface equipment of this new shaft will be such that serious mining may be carried on to a great depib.
Of the 18,889 tens crushed, 2,806 tons were -wou-from, underground and 25,993 tons from the surface, for a yield of 3,246.14 02., of 1:555 dwis, par too crashad. After charging foravarj- thing, this leaves a profit of 309 det per ton. Other MinesThese remain the same last year.
