these delicately chased silver bowls or vases, while at the top is a large one, and skilfully woven around are eighteen electric lights of beautifully shaded colours, making a most charming picture. One of the staufest branches holds a clock, barometer, and chronometer.
The base consists of a representation of a hunting field-like the rest, of solid silver. The figures of the huntimen, hounds, and fox are most cleverly done, while the bracken and bedgerows represented are faithfully depitied.
It is, in fact, a remarkable achievement. The total weight is 6,900 oz, and the value is some-- thing like £3,000. It is on view during the week at Mears. Dobson and Sons, 200, Pic. cadilly, who have designed and executed the work,
