INCREASE OF INSURANCE RATES.
The many disastrous wrecks which have oc- curred in recent years of ships from the Pacific coast of the Waited States has resulted in the last year in a vary material increase in the marise insurance rates for vessels owned in Seattle and other Pacific ports, says the Seattle Times, The underwriters" at Lloyd's are far from eager to renew insurance at the old rates,, sad in many instances hull insurance shows a marked advance.
