When I read that Thaw had been relegated- to the Criminal Lunatic Asylum at Metteawan, in New York State, my mind reverted in a flash A Kowloon

to certain horrible experiences of my own la the same place, and I speedily came to the conclusion that, if the young man is not mad now, he stands a very good chance of becom ing so in a short time, if he is subjected to the. same treatment as was meted out to me.

THESE DOCKS are conveniently situated in Yokohama harbour and the attention of Captains and Engineers is respectfully called to the advantages offered for Docking and repairing Vessels and Machinery of every description:

The plant and tools are of recent patterns for dealing quickly, and cheaply with work and a large stock of material is always at hand, (plates and angles all being tested by Lloyds' surveyor).

Two powerful Twin Screw Towboats are available for taking Vessels in or ont of Dock, and for taking Sailing Vessels in or out of the day. The floating derrick is capable of lifting 35 tous.
