The new building is to be seven storeys in height and covers an area of 10 x 26 feet, first floor being intended for showrooms, the remainder for offices. The building generally p of skeleton construction, which has the ad. vantage of giving a monolithic strutture and consequently great strength and rigidity coupled with a minimum of weight—so the walls being entirely supported on each floor are made very light. The foundations are of rela forced concrete throughout and cover about 75 per cent of the total area. As in the case of the Telephone Company's building no wood is used
