A New York despatch of ziet ult, saya:~Pas. sengers on the Philadelphin, of the American line, which arrived yesterday from Southampt and Cherbourg, told of a remarkable mirage they had seen at sea. For more than an hour and a half on Friday morning they watched the steamship Lorraine, of the French line, out of sight under the horizon ahead of them ap pear as if suspended inverted in the sky.
