The latter married a companion of Healtice Booth. Finally the creditors seized the restaurant.
When the fire occurred Mits Booth trans- ferred the insurance in Gertrude Dayton 10 prevent the creditors from getting it' Miss Dayıon collected, about four thousand pesos.

The details of their trip and of where they went on arrival in Hongkong are not known hero. They could not have been in a folel there more than a day before Gertrude Payton was killed as the trunk containing her body was taken aboard the Afante igle on August 3.
Beatrice Booth left here for Japan on the Kumano Maru on August 3, supposedly follows *ing the Dayton women in an effort to get back the insurance which it was said Miss Dayto refused to return. Both arrived in Hongkong three days after the murder.
