The officials of the mine and their families hava come back, and are quartered at the schools. Nors of the officials or their families appear to be misslag, The body of a man who had been burnt to death has been discovered in front ofia godown" at Motoyama. In a dispatch dated Wednesday, the Asáhli correspondent at Ashio states that all the worker in the mincs resumed work-atleen o'clock in the morning of that date, and orders

The troups left Ashio at .5 o'clock.on the; samo day, for Takasaki. Governor Nakayama and Judge anni, Prosident of the Utsanpmiya Court will remain at Asbio a few days longer.. The troops stopped at Nikko at the request of Governor Nakayama, but were expected to leave there yesterday morning.

After the departure of the troops on Wed- nesday morning, the, correspondent-visited the various pits, and found everything quiet with the exception of the Tsudo mina, where there. was still a little disorder. The, workers at Motoyama are said to repent of their actions, and the inhabitants of Ashio are now at cate.

At 1930 o'clock on. Wednesday morolog religious services were held at the shrices at, the Motoyama, Odaki and Taudo, workings. with the object of dispelling evil curses. There. were present the officials of the mins and, representatives of the workers. Placards bave been posted in every sirent, announcing that, although the troops have withdrawn, the police force is strong enough to keep order, and the inhabitants are therefore arged to be reassured: as there is no need for alarm. -
