The Executive Committee of the Central"! China Famine Relief Fund met at the offices of Messrs. Brunder, Mond & Co., Ld, No. 13 Kiukiang Road, Shanghai, at 10 am. Tuesday, December 4.

The following Membars were present: Messrs.` Chu Pão-san, Chun Nia-ching, C., Montague Ede, and F4. S., little, Rev. Dr. J. R. Hykes, and the Secretaries, Shên Tan-ho and Dri Gilbert Reid.

Mr. Sza Taze-ying was invited to all with the Committee.

On motion of Mr. "Ede,-seconded by Shin fun-ho, Mr. Ed. S. Little was elected as Chair- man of the Committee. It was agreed that the ecretaries elected for the General Committee, act also as Secretaries of the Executive Com mmittee. It was moved by Mr. Shen Tan-ho and seconded by Rev. Dr. Hykes that Mr. Sze Tazo-ying be requested to act as a member f the Committes. The motion was carried, and Mr. Sza expressed his willingness to do what he could to aid the work of the Committen. The Chiskiang Committee, already appointed; was invited to co-operate with the Shanghai Committed. It was agreed that all fondu be deposited at the Hongkong and Shanghal Bauking Corporation in the name of "The Central China Famine Relief Fund.

On the motion of Mr. Liule, seconded by Mr. Shèo Tun-ho, it was agreed that all) mareya, articles, etc, received by the Com miltae be signed for by both the foreign and Chinese Treasurers of the Relief Fund, The members approved that the name of all contri- butors be printed in both the foreign and Chinese Press also that all payments must be first authorized by the Executive Committee. it was moved and carried that all proceedings of the Committee eball be made public in the foreign and Chinesa Pross, “

It was moved by Mr. Shên Tun ho and seconded by Mr. Ste Tsze-ying and carried unanimously that Mr. Jen Fung-sing be invited to Join the Committee. On the motion of Dr.. Reid, seconded by Mr. Chn Pao-san, Mr. Wa Tsze-an was invited to join the Committee as representative of H. E. Sheng Kung-pao,

it was agreed that letters be sent to all mis- sionaries residing in the famine region, re questing them to send reports, and to com operate in the distribution of funds. It was also moved that the gentry in the same region be addressed on the same matter that they and the missionaries might be able to co-operate in the work of distribution of relief funds."

It was moved and carried that all the Consuls- General in Shanghai be addressed with' refora rnce to sending telegrams to the home Govern ments concerning the seed of financial assist ance. It was also agreed that a telegram ba sent to the Lord Mayor of London, to the BEI American Asiatic Association.in New York, to Dr. Knappe in Berlin, to the Press Syndicate in Paris, and to the Governors of Hongkong and and Singapore. The Committee requested the President and Vice-President of the General Committee to send telegrams-10 the Vicaroy. rnd Governors in China and to the Chinese Ministers abroad,
