Capt. Grey, in an interview, expressed anger at the Cape Government's proclamation probi biting leading on the Guano Islands, declaring that it was monstrous that British subjects should be prevented from landing on British Doil.
Capt. Grey was extremely reticent regarding the incidents of the voyage out-Reuter,
SYNDICATE MANAGER'S OPINION. Mr. E. Kenyon Collin, the manager of the Collis Diamond Syndicate, yesterday afternoon ... loformed a Press representative that he had that day received a long cablegram from the captain of the treasure ship Yewn, which had arrived at Cape Town,
The Xena, Mr. Collis added, had visited the Diamond Island, and the explorers had landed and spent three days there. As to the result of the prospecting on the island, Mr. Collie declined to commit himself until he had com- municated with the directors of the expedition.
