Ordinance (with the necessary returns) to fire a législative indemnity to certain expenditure which was actually incarce in excess of the Sstimates for that year.
The latimates for that,
year did not finally pass the Council until the 18th August; the cxpenditure in question was therefore very small: at p. 6 of three betinate, it appears that only 4 of the totes as they stand on the Appropriation Ordinances were exceeded, besides which 2 of the subvotes for particular public works ( which according to Hongkong practice
are treated as separate votes, though not specified by detail in the Supply Ordinance) were exceeded, so that the total expenditure how in question amounts to $7,460.
