At a dinner a smart restaurant the other night the bill came to £6 10. for seven people, and the host handed the waiter B, as a tip, but he flatly refused to take it. Mr. Harriman, of the Holland House Hotel-probably the most exclusive in all America after the St. Regis calmly rar marked, "For a two shilling meal I think the average patron leaves the change of a dollar bill for the waiter 1.
