We have received from the Hongkong Observatory a new code of meteorological signals which comes into force at Hongkong. on New Year's Day. They are the same as those at present in use at Shanghai, and will. be hoisted on the mast beside the time-ball at Kowloon Point for the information of masters of vestals leaving the port. They do not neces•ę. sarily imply that bad weather is expected. The signals are as follows:-
