My mother purchased a bottle, and by the time I was nearing the end of it, a remarkable change had come over me. The veins in my hands began to look different; new blood was coming into them. And all over my body I could feel new life and strength coming. My appetite improved, the Yomiting ceased, the pains in the stomach were less acute. By the time six bottles of Dr. Williams' 62 092.92 Pink Pilis were taken i was an altered girl. And my cure is permanent, too. I never have the least sign of the old paint, and I feel as well and hearty as I could wish."

The twin ailments anemia and indigestion, in Miss Carpenter's case, developed into that most dangerous complaint, gastric ulcer; with others they frequently lead to "decline" or consumption. But in both forms, the new rich blood supplied by Dr. Williams' Pink Pills enables sufferers to stay further progress of the disease and so regain strength. No. 71.

(Removal work at Canton River Barriers; precautions to be ab served by passing vessels

REFERRING to Notice in Mariners No. 57;

Notice is hereby given that the signals contained therein are annulled and that in Future Warning and Danger signals in connec tion with removal work at the Barriers will be made as follows-

A RED FLAG hoisted on a junk, steam launch or other craft in the neighbourhood of the Iron and Bridge Barriers, indicates a craft with high explosives on board.

TWO BLACK SPHERES hoisted on a junk in the vicinity of any of the Barriers, in- dicates, that danger would be caused to life and property by the wash of steamers.

This signal will be hoisted when a diver is down, when explosives are laid, or when a junk is so fast to the bottom or le piles, as to render the wash of a steamer dangerous.

Vessels approaching the Barriers should keep a careful look out for this signal, and, if hoisted, slow down at sufficient distance to preveni her wash reaching the boat at work, and proceed dead slow until well past.

If owing to any reason it is unsafe for a vessel to pass the Iron Harrier, a RED TRI- ANGULAR SHAPE 6 feet in heiht will be hoisted on a staff at the Barrier light hut.

A vessel seeing this signal should on no account attempt to pass
