HONGKONG METEOROLOGICAL
SIGNALS.
A NEW CODE,
We have received from the Hongkong Observatory a new code of meteorological signals which comes into force at Hongkong on New Year's Day. They are the same as those at present in use at Shanghai, and will be hoisted on the mast beside the time-ball. at Kowloon Point for the information of masters. of vessels, leaving the port. They do not neces sarily imply that bad weather is expected. The signals are as follows-
