The Company's new steamers are specially designed for the coast trade of South China and Formoss and are filled with all modern improvements. Excellent accommodation is provided for 1st class passengers, and a duly qualified doctor is carried.

All steamers carry the Imperial Japanese Mails, subject to periodical inspection by the Government Marine Surveyors, and are registered in the highest class at Lloyd's.

NIGHT SIGNALS.

Two lanterus hoisted vertically indicato bad weather in the Colony and that the wind

is expected to veer.

The signals are repealed on the flagstaff of the Godown Company at Kowloon, and also, by day only, at the Harbour Office and on II.M.'s Receiving Ship.

LOCAL STORM-WARNINOS,

The Colony itself is warned of approaching typhoons by means of the Typhoon Cun placed,

at the foot of the mast, which is fired whenever a strong gale of wind is expected to blow here.
