COLLISION AT CAPSUÏMUN.
14th inst, the German steamer Hanra, owned Al about eight ok lack on the night of the
by the Tung Kee Company, left the harbour bound for Canton, and while passing Cap-sui. in she met a native trading junk and a colision seemed imminent. Captain Lorenzen of the Zansa on seeing the junk, did ull' in his power to avoid running into the graft, but as the steering of the junk was bad, a collision occurred. The junk which was laden with a general cargo commenced to take in water, and in a few grinutes she sank to the bottom of the deep and narrow channel. Capt. Lorenzen had all his men called on deck and life boats were lowered, and the Chinese crew rescued. In all, ineteen men and a woman were picked up and taken on board the flansu, which at oace commenced to steer back to Hongkong. Here the matter was reported to the police, who were informed that no lives had been lost. The master of the junk” estimated his loss to be a little over £5,000,
