THE TOUR OF THE OXFORD AUTHENTICS IN INDIA.
This cricket team is expected to arrive in Bombay about the 15th of November where it has been arranged to play three matches-one with the Bombay and the other with the Poona_Gymkhanas-and-the-third with the Parsees after which they will travel south to Secunderabad, Bangalore, and Madras. The Northern Provinces will be visited later and the departure from Bombay will be February zist so that the players, will reach England in March. The side is a very strong one and it should be able to give the. strongest team in India even the All India eleven at Delhi on January 5,6 and 7. plenty of trouble. The team is composed of 14 players whose names are as follows:-Kingsmill James Key, who will captain the side, is the old Clifton and Surrey player; H. B. Chimery is a brilliant and power- ful bat:Cecil Headlam, of Rugby and Middlesex, is the wicket beeper of the team: G. IT, Simpson Hayward, ní Malvern and Worcester- shire, is perhas the best lab-bowler in England: F.G. II. Claytor, the old Harrovians Northumberland, a dashing hat: P. A Williams, of Winchester and Berkshire, is an excitiient batsman in bowler. F. H. Hollins, of Exton and Lancashire one of the best caver points in England. H. J. and Worcestershire, Powys-kek, Malvern
is a good medium, fest, left-hand bowler. J. B. Aspinall, Stonyhurst and Ianchashire, the
