A Cantonese correspondent writes to the Su Pao in regard to a secret treaty between China and Russia as follows:-
Art. 1.-The Chinese Government in seeing her weakness is willing to cede all privileges in Tibet to Russia for the purpose of maintaining

Without a penny in their pockets they left Montmartre, and will sing their way through France up to Dieppe where they will take the boat for Newhaven and walk to London. In London they will sing some more, march up to Liverpool and sing again, sing their way either in the steerage or, if they can find a musical, and poetic captain, in the saloon across the Atlantic, cross the United States to San Francisco, thence, to Japan and Indo-China, through British India to Bombay, on to South Africa, and then home *again.
