A PING-PONG DANCE was a novel feature in the annual ball, held on the 7th ultimo, under the auspices of the Ipswich School of Art. The dancers ranged themselves in two rows, the ladies facing the gentlemen. Tha former carried white balls bearing consecutive 2.00 numbers, and the latter red balls also wumber- ed. The gentlemen batted the balls across the room to the ladies, and vice versa. Everyone then secared a ball, and according to the en- umeration lined up in two rows. The partners facing each other then waltzed down the room, and the other dancers followed in consecutive order.
