OBITUARY:-The death is announced of Sir William MacCormac, the eminent surgeon, from the effects of dysentery, Sir William MacCormac was born in Belfast in 1836 and created a baronet in 1897. He was for the fifth time president of the Royal College of Surgeons. He was consulting (civil) surgeon to the forces in South Africa in 1899. He has written several medical books.
