TIGER IN A GARDEN.
On the 3rd instant while Mr. Hume, the district officer at Kuala Kubu, Selangor, was at dinner, word came that a tiger had just been seen in his garden. Mr. Hunte went out with his gun, accompanied by servants bearing lights and parangs, to a bamboo jungle be- tween the garden and the railway line. Pre- sently a small tiger was seen to emerge from
