5-The Railway between Shanhaikuan and Newchwang will be restored to China, but China has previously to indemnify Russia for the latter's outlay.
THE INDEMNITY.
THE AMOUNT EACH PROVINCE HAS TO PAY. The different Provinces have received orders to pay to the Government certain amounts to be used for the settlement of the indemnities, says the Miercury. These amounts are, to be delivered in yearly instalments, commencing on the 1st January 1902 and ending 31st December 1910, ie., during nine years: '
