Shin Chuk, accountant, of 17, Western Market and Li Chan, hawker, were indicted for offering bribe to a public servant with a view to in fluencing his conduct and also with offering a bribe to a public servant with a view to incline him to omit an act contrary to his duty.
They pleaded not guilty on both counts: The following jury was impanelled, viz Messis. H. E. V. Haggard, W. H. T. Davis, I. Allan; D. Clark, M. B. Vievia, G. J. Sequiera, and H. Shoolbred.
