ARMSTON'S CIRCUS announce their last two performances to-day, one at 3 p.m. and one at 9pm, before they start for Manila. To-night is the farewell performance, and the last Amateur riders exhibition. A bluejacket is also to enter the den of the tiger Duke." We hope the Circus will have a fult teot, as they have deserved well of this Colony, and we wish them every success in Manila for which city they start on Monday. Owing to the very large number of entries (thirty) for the Amateur Riding Competition to-night, wo are informed that two prizes will be presented for the con- 1est. Evidently much interest is being taken in to-night's entertainment.

MR. Bertram, the great conjuror and illusionist, just arrived in the Colony, will give a per formance in the City Hall on Monday night. For particulars see our advertisements colemn, The Rangoon Times says that wherever ons goes "Have you seen Bertrain?" is the ques ion. He is the talk of the town and deservedly So, 100, for Rangoon has not seen his equal and probably will not see any one else as clever in his line for a long time. He gives a marvellously clever, performance. We may safely say the performance was as attractive as mystifying, and that it was thoroughly enjoyed by the large audience who witnessed it. Me. Bertram's skill as an Illu- sionist is sure to be largely talked about and he may already consider the success of his visit to Rangoon assured We think we may say the same of his visit to this Colony. "Mr. Bertram, says a Singapore paper of the 23rd ult, gave last night at the Town Hall before s large audience, including H. E. Sir Frank Swettenham and staff, one of his charming and enthralling entertainments, during which, all present, were led on from one mystification to another, until the final conviction must have been arrived at that one pair of eyes is about a dozen too few to cope with so clever a prestidigitateur as Mr. Bertram."

Completing the first round Dingo ran up to Miser and passed him at the second jump, in the second time round. Croxton was following a long way behind. Coming up to the water jump Dingo got a good lead at Miser made a slight fault at the water. Dingo was the winner by twelve lengths after a very good race between the two. Miser came in second and Croxton was round at the starting point when Dingo ran past the winning post. Dingo did very well and did not make a fault, whilst Miser only faulted once.
