Reuben Carr, sworn stated, that about 10.30 an. on the 9th he was underneath the forecastle- head. He saw Adamson snatch a bag from 100the shoulder of a Chinese money fender which 100 he passed on to Shay who took it into the forecastle. Murray prevented the money 100 lender fom pursuing Adamson. He afterwards so found Shay had the bag open and was putting so money into his pocket. He was given the 50 bag produced and $168. in silver, which he put in his bunk. He offered it to 50 the lamp-trimmer, next day but he refused to 10 have anything to do with it. The money was 10 afterwards divided and Collins was given $23 10 as hush money.
