FIRE IN KOBE,

ATTEMPTED MURDER AND INCENDIARISM,

Kone, February 14th. About 3.30 o'clock yesterday morning a fire broke out in Moto-machi which apparently was optanted with the object of concealing what was. intended to be a murder. A young man, the adopted son of a confectioner, living close to home because of his evil conduct. In revenge the Aioi bridge, was recently sent away from. he determined to murder his adopted father, and early this moming broke into the house and cut him with some sharp instrument. The aliru being given, the servants rushed into the street, when another man, waiting in the dark. ness outside, cut at each person coming out the house and made off, but fortunately both and severely injured three. He then set fire to the miscreants were afterwards arrested.
