Charges of inefficiency

in the conduct of official business were

English brought by the post office and the Postmaster General of Hongkong against For Simpson, Post Master at Yokohama. Sir R. Macdonnell consequently caused hur Simpson to be removed to an affointment less value and importance in Hongkong.

for Simpson, who is now here leave, begs to see all the correspondence on the subject. He knows what the charges. are (ride last enclosure in 6054). There would be no harm in allowing him to see the correspondence. But I think he should be told that as he knows what the charges.

as the Sec: of State has sanctioned his removal, it won't serve no good purpose to send him the correspondence. The punishment was severe.
