BRITISH CONSULAR NOTIFICATION. THE alleation of the Undersigned has beco
called to certain infractions of existing Treaty and Trade Regniallons committed by British subjects and British - vessels on the WEST RIVIR and neighbouring waters. Com plaint has been made that lunches are towing junks on the river without authority: that maregistered vessels are flying the British Fing: that foreign vessels are not keeplag to the Channels indicated by the IMPERIAL MAR TIME CUSTOMS; that Fortiza vessels are stopping at other than Treaty Ports or "Places of Call" for the purpose of landing passengers.
Owners of British vessels are cautioned that 'such acts wili lavolre them in trouble, and they are recommended to apply for advice at ibis Consulate when they are in doubt as to the legality of any proceeding.
