D. D. Ollia, a Brliish subject, who, your readers (Before Xis Lordship Dr. J. W. Carrington, will remember, was killed by the rebels in the irruption at Rinkipoh (Hoolim). An officer of the Civil Department of Taipeh, with other civil and military officers, had been making investig- nilons in the matter, and they were told by m Chinese servant of the murdered gentleman that the body was to be found about one mila east of Rinkipoh. The remalas of a body were found and exhumed in the presence of Mr. M. Soguch! (Judge of the Chunghwa Special Court) Doctor | T. Hara and Mr. K. Ask! (police Inspector) an the 1st September. They were assured the remains were those of Mr. Ollia, but there was a difficulty la identification owing to the
