THE OPENING OF THE WEST RIVER.
On the 4th fast letters were addressed to the Foreign Office and to the British Minister at Peking, asking whether there was any progicas to report in the negotiations for the opening of the West River and other inland waterways of Kwangtung to trade and steam navigation, Copies of both were also forwarded to Hongkong Government.
QUARANTINE AGAINST HONGKONG.
