A dispatch from Chiba prefecture announcer that a great storm has prevalled on the coast, and on the gth, inak, a tidal wave came in and swept away 133 houses and g cho of land. Two men received injuries, but most of the people, having had warning, escaped without hart. A breakwater is being erected to prevent any further encroachments by the ses.
