In view of
Great excitement and some rinting occurred to-day when the funtal of the victims of yester day's explosion took place. Large crowds lined the street on the way is the cemetery and at the sight of the hearse the railng began. For a time it looked as if the city would be tumed over to mob violence, bela'strong force, of soldiers was summoned and aders were given to clear the streets, and the avalry rode down on the howllog, cursing and fighting mob.
There was litle resistance, the rioters, almost to a man. when they saw the gleaming sabres taking to their heels. The adhorities are charged with criminal negligence.
