Barker, her Highnesse's Printer" but whether its sole object was the "prevention of falas reportes," as is quaintly claimed for it, or whether the promoters had an eye to pecunity gains, history sayeth not Anyhow as a specimen of early journalism it is interesting; especially this particular number realing as it does with one of the most thrilling incidents in British history.
