It was a beautiful model of an electric railway sent out by technical friends and now on view at Mr. C. Possen's residence. The model has ring-formed raild resting on polished wood, which is rectified by supporting blocks; it is 13 feet in diameter. On it runs a perfect imitation of a locomotiva produced by a magneto-induction machine, and a passenger waggon driven by electricity which is termed by hand. It worked with perfect smoshness and to the great satisfaction of those who 'saw. It, and it astonished in the darins who were present. As this, as far as I highest degree some infusatial Chinese man- know, is the first time that an electric railway has been on view in China, I thought it might be of interest to the pubile to hear about it.
