Personally I am aware that the Directors have worked very hard-I_know very few Directors of publie companies connected with this colony that have worked hard-and they have spared care in pushing forward the Interest of the company; but I am afraid some points may have escaped their attention which might tend to increase the earning power of this important establishment, the best of its kind to the East. I therefore venture to suggest, if I am in order, to the present meeting that the Directors should call an extraordinary meeting of share holders in order to appoint a commissi n, cous sting of two. of the present Directors and two or three shareholders, to fully investigate Into the working of the Hotel with a view to keep down expenses when necessary and to devise some system under which the company might be put on a better footing. There la, un fortunately, faellag among the shareholders that a deficiency exists somewhere and we must remedy it if it be so. I may further state that the appointment of a commission, lo my opinton, will bring about some good result and will masist the Directors materially.
