Had fine weather and strong calms: The pacese steamship Hirotkima Maru seports that she left” Salgon on the aựth ultimo, Had strong north-easterly winds and heavy son with overcast cloudy weather.

The British steamship Benalder reports that she left Salgon on the 26th ultimo at g'am. Passed Cape St. James at a p.m. Had strong east to north-east winds with high head ten to Capa Padaran, then bad light northerly breeze with high head swell for 24 hours, when the wind increased to a moderate north-east gale with high confused sea. and oc salonal rain- aquails and continued to the Paracels; thence to port had strong east to north-east winds with high sea and cloudy weather with thick haze making the land..
