It is suggested that friends and acquaintances should combine to forms a gun detachment of ra men, or a half company (or Section of Field; Artillery) of 24 men, or even a complete Com- pany or Battery,..

The Officers of the Battery when complete! will consist of one Captain and three Lieutenants and those of each company of one Captain and two Lieutenants. Such Officers to be elected by their own men, the Lieutenasta by the half companies or¡ sections, the Captain by the company or battery. Such election to be sub- ject to the approval of His Excellency the Governor.

The uniform of the Field Battery will remain as at present, that of the machins, gun comps. nies will be matter for future consideration, a working dress only being provided for the ensuing dilil season,
