A YACHTING, NEMINISCENCE, Not very many years ago the hospitable owner of the Kingfisher, the only steam-yacht which Hongkong possesses, invlied a party of kindied spints to spend the Easter holidays'in a} voyage of discovery up the Pearl River as far as the famed city of Canton. Times were dall' in Hongkong, and we were only too glad to avail nautical experiences. The Craft was lying off ourselves of this opportunity to increase our Murray Wharf and we embarked in proper form, the dingy having been placed at the disposal of adventurous searchers for knowledge (ahem 1). Our passenger list, in addition to the Jovial owner and kin on, a smart lad of eight, consisted of five stoney brokera and gentleman popularly known as "The Laird of Lamlash, who had something to do with the direction of affins Gnana cial on board the well-known local clipper Victor Emanuel The Laird was invited to, accompany the expedition as chief navigator on account of bis presumed experience to piloting the vessel he belonged to through the narrow waters which surround Hongkong.
