THE CHINESE BANK BUBELK.
Chan Kim Fai, the oplum and cotton-yara merchant who had lost money in one of Lo Hok morning, and gave detalis of his deposits in the Pang's "banks," was further examined this bank.
After a most exhansive examination, bis lordship said he was perf clly satisfied that the bankrupt had acted honestly throughout and had really been doing very well indeed up to the to the bank failed. His total abilities were about $108,000, and he had lost $184,000 in the bank.
Inquiry adjourned pending decision of creditors; the Chief Justice saying that he had no further questions of any gret'importance to put to the bankrupt, who appears deserving of much sympathy.
