The British gu boat Egeria reports that she leit Singapore, via Labuan on the 14th Instant. Had Güc weather with south and south-west winds till the asth festant., in lat. 16° 47 Dorth and long, 11856 east.. Had very strong north- easterly winds to port. On the 24th pa sed the British baik Churchst w, fom West Australia to Hongkong, 36 days out, in lat. 1435 north and long. 11917 cast, wishing to be reported all well.
The British steamship Canton reports that she left Shanghai on the zind instant, and Swatow o: the 24th. From and to the morn ing of the 24b. Experienced a strong north-east to north-west gala, saw ship at anchor onder Chusan Islands; thence to Swatow had 'rong. norib-cast monsoon and high following sea, From Swatow to Hongkong had strong north wind and clear weather, On the 25th passed the steamship Fooks, ng, from Newchwang to Swarow in company.
The Chinese seimship Toonan reports that she left Newchwang on the 18th instant. Had fresh north wind and fine weather to Chefoo. Left Cheloo on the 22nd. Had moderate arnth- east winds, increasing round the Shantung. Pro- montory, with heavy rain quills and eas erly snel to Shawel him. Wind sbifed to north. north-west, blowing a strong gale, with he vy sea and misty weather round the Saddle Island to Turnabout; from there had strong, moosco moderating round Breaker Point to port.
The Chinese steamship Kwangler reports ·hat' the left Shangbat on the 21st instant. On the 220d bad fresh east-north-east breeze and foggY weather with batometer 2994---On-the-23rd had 'fresh east-south- asi brezza and ralo with heavy cross easterly swell and barometer 29 76., At noon hid light variable wlad and heavy sex with barometer 29 73, and rain f›g with barometer falling; a pm, barometer 19.71. hove to,with, ships head to north-east to rise barometer; atz pm.incresaing brez from north west w.th thick rainy weather, and barometer readings 29.68; at 8 pm, had s rong north-north-east ge-and-heavy sea with barrmeter readings 29.69; at 9 p.m. strong north-north-east gile and increasing steady in direction barometer 29 70'; at midnight weather moderading m ter und and barometer 29 73, and increasing south, and baro- meter 29.78. The remainder i the trip, strong nouh-cast breeze and cloudy weather; arrive at Swatow on Friday afternoon, and left Swatow on Saturday right Had cloudy weather, and atived here on Sunday morning.
