A lamentable fatality occurred on board the steamer Gorgon on her last trip hither, frous Slingapore. Among the passenger was a Mr. L W. It was then discovered that Mr. Lamothe was lying with bis head in the bath, which only contained to er 12 laches of water, whilst his body was hanging over the side, his feet touching the floor.
