By his lordship He had seen the omnibuser, - It would cost about $1.20 each for poles, 8e cents for step, $4 to line the seats with cloth, $6 each for completing the wheels, and $1.20 for putting on cach brake, making altogether $13.10 for each omnibus. None of that work had been done to any of the omnibuses, besides which they needed plaining and smoothing. That made up the set-off of 800. The plaintiff had received the whole amount except $7 for the building of the bases. He had often complained to the defendant about the work. Witness himself was under a contract to finish the buses by Chinese New Year.
A. Denison, architect and surveyor, said he had seen the work in connection with five omnibuses in Wellington Street Teased to go nace a week. The Shing Loong had always plenty of suitable wood.
