5 o'cio k.. A large business has been done to-day In the Land Investment Co.'s scrip, for cash up to 133, and for forward delivery at 140 for August and 141 for September. China Sugars have been done at from 294 to 292 for cash, and some "time" transactions at fabulous rates have also been reported-such as, for instance, 306 for August and from 312 to 315 for September. Luzons have changed hands at 123 and there are further sellers; shares for August are on offer at 130. A considerable cash business has been done in Punjoms at 33 and 32, and also at 37 for August and 38 for September. There appears to be a general belief that another big "boom" in this stock is Imminent, and doubtless Mr. Becher's expected telegram will have the desired effect. Nothing else requires Manila special reference.
