An attempt was made to "bear" Punjoms this forenoon, and after business had been put through at 33 and 32 for cash and 35 vominek. for August, shares were reported to be offering at as low as 28. The movement was not sustained, however, and the stock closed in strong demand with cash buyers at. Banks have been done at 176 for cash and 177 for the end of the month, and further shares are wanted. Nothing else has been Inquired after.'
