The British steamship Fooksang reports that blinding rain and thunder with lightning and she left Amoy on the 30th ultimo. Had heavy heavy squalla; wind continually shifting from
south-west to north-west, and weather cleared. Last evening off Chelang Point had heavy south-west sex,
The British steamship Haitan reports that she left Foochow on the 28th ultimo, and Amoy on the 29th. From Foochow to Amoy had ilght winds and fine weather to Dodd faland; thence to port had fresh north-east breeze and beary rain with smooth sea. From Amoy to Swałow bad light variable winds with heavy showers and smooth sea; arrived at Swatow on the 30th and left on the 31st. Had torrents of rain ell day with heavy squalis from south-west From Swatow to Hongkong had strong gale with heavy rain the first part of the passage, and the latter part had moderate south-west winds and hazy weather with moderate smooth sea.
