The British steamship Haiphong reports at she left Saigon on the 23rd instant, and experl- enced moderate south-south-west to west-south west winds to the lat. of the Paracels; thence light variable winds to Hongkong.

The British steamship Taliang reports that she left Calculta on the 12th instant at 8 am, On the 13th, Tanjore Lighthouse; anchored that day and following night, cyclone signal flying On the 14th at a p.m. arrived at Sandheads. Had strong winds from south-west and beam sça to Penang arrived at Penang at 8 am, on the 19th, and left at 6 pm. same day; arrived at Singapore on the 21st at 8 m, and left agnin at 5.45 p.m.; arrived at. Hongkong on the 27th at & a.m. Had fresh winds from south west and fine, weather.

The British steamship Propontis reports that she left Nagasaki on the 22nd Instant. During the passage up to Nagasaki on Sunday, the 15th instant, experienced heavy gale, vecting from north-east to south-east, with terrific squalls of wind and rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, with a tremendous high ses; ship hove to, labouring and straining heavily, Gale lasting 14 hours. From Nagasaki to Hongkong to lat. 30.00 north, had moderate north-west and westerly winds with ane weather; thence to port had light monsoon and fine clear weather with heavy southerly awell,
