The British steamship Haitan reports that she left the Anchorage on the 22nd instant, Arnoy on the 24th, and Swajow on the 35th. Had light south-west winds and fine weather with a smooth sea to Amoy. From Amoy to Swatow had strong outh-west winds and heavy showers with confused sea. From Swatow to port hid strong south-west winds with violent squalls and orrents of rain, accompanied with vivid light ning and heavy claps of thunder with mode- rately smooth sea. In Foochaw, the steamships Pembrokeshire and Tai-yuan. In Amoy, the steamships Bautam and Activa. In Swatów, The steamships Chefoo, Newchwangy Ecounn, and Glenorchy, anchored outside.

The British stenmship Mesmuir reports that she left Sydney on the 2 th instant at noon, experiencel heavy weather, for the first 24 hours, with fian weather and smooth sen prevailing to Cooktown; arrived at Cooktown on the 2nd instant at un, and sailed for Thursday Island at 9.a.m. the same date arrived at Thursday Island at noon on the 4th. Lelt Thursday Island at noon on the 6th for Port Darwin, afrived at Port Darwin on the gth. Left Port Darwin at 1pm. for Timur: airived at Dilli (Time), took a.number of passengers, on board, and sailed at 5 pm. for Hongkong arrived here on the 27th.
